Constant 'Internet Explorer has stopped working' and for no apparent reason?

wrong windows 7 laptop. error message 'internet explorer has stopped working' appears no apparent reason. websites, never appears, others (the noticeable facebook , zeta boards), refuses let me on website. error message appear 3 or times, before web page displays:

'we unable return *name of website*
internet explorer has stopped trying restore website. appears website continues have problem.'

it's no reason can figure out either, connection fine , up-to-date. i've come conclusion laptop cursed.
