Were blue eyes a biological advantage in northern Europe in prehistoric times. Do you think so?


seems outside of europeans populations , descendants elsewhere. blue eyes rare , in many cases exceptional. since know original homo-sapien sapiens brown-eyed , blue eyes mutation followed later due climate adaptation/by sexual selection/ multiplied more due less threat of hot hostile environment. whatever case might be. seem common among europeans, rare among non-europeans. recent study done in 2010 on 20-30yrd old ethnic european males shows highest frequency of blue eyes in following countries finland, sweden & norway(72%), denmark & estonia(69%), ireland & latvia(66%), scotland(63%), lithuania(61%), netherlands(58%), england & belarus(55%), germany(53%), poland & wales(50%), czech republic & russia(48%). more northern more blue-eyed. blue-eyed male had biological advantage on brown-eyed males in northern europe or perhaps not coincidence?
