teachers regular people, else - remember lot of things, don't have perfect memories either.

obviously, teachers can't keep of previous students because have obligation focus attention on current students.

being said, graduated high school on 20 years ago - there couple of teachers have stayed in touch on years.

for instance, "oh, wonder how they're doing now." or forget , move onto next year of kids?
