What place on earth has the harshest winter climate yet has had people living there for ages?


oymyakon, russia- coldest location in northern hemisphere, people living there. coldest ever temp recorded there: -90 f. population, 800.

place in northern minnesota, near canada, averaging 2 degree f. 65 inches of snow year. population: 6,000.

not sure how long people have lived here still pretty damn cold.

i know antarctica has no native residents whatsoever, greenland or siberia or arctic circle answers?
