How do I fix my Sony DVD surround receiver?

after brother in law accidentally hooked wrong circuit 220 service sony dvd surround receiver no longer works. opened unit , saw 8 amp 125 volt fuse located near power cord burned out. replaced appropriate fuse when plug in burns out again. there else can fix this? may causing happen?

couple random details: handy enough if have general idea of needs done. unit plugged built in outlet in of cable box, cable box fine. whole thing on surge protector , other pieces of equipment on circuit fine.
