Does Baroque music have dynamics?

many people have told me baroque music didn't have dynamics because instruments weren't capable of it. while understand baroque keyboard instruments did not have dynamics except stops , manual changes (excluding clavichord of course), find hard believe baroque style violins, cellos, viol family, , trumpets, flutes earlier zinks, etc, incapable of dynamic variation, if variation more limited today. understand baroque expression dependant on articulation , terraced dynamics possible, , romantic style dynamic variation considered stylistically inaccurate, i'm trying clearer view of style of music love much. more answers, appreciate reputable sources can learn myself, preferably books or articles, sources fine , type of response great.
