What are your opinions on staged/set-up photography?

of course it's 'real' photography - daft notion suggest isn't!!

commercial portrait, wedding, landscape & wildlife photographers 'stage' images - if it's simple standing in right place uncluttered backdrop, or being there when light right (right colour temp, right angle).

it's mark of photographer plan out how want image look, rather snapping away aimlessly.

genre can think of shots unplanned in photojournalism - then, 'phojo' looking shots impact, consciously scanning scene right material.

do think or bad?
count 'real photography'?
or prefer photographs taken on spot, see?
thankssss :)
