Christmas gifts for boyfriend?

first christmas serious boyfriend, adore each other! have been going out 9 months. both decided spending around $40 on each other christmas. far decided him 2 pairs of pajama pants, 2 shirts go it, , gloves had been wanting. going make him cookies or go along it. i'm nervous because have no idea he's getting me or how many gifts hes getting me. i'm not sure if needed pajamas, wasn't sure else 20 yr old guy. didn't tell me wanted christmas! anyways i'm nervous bc i'm afraid won't pajamas or getting me nicer or more personal things :( advice?
