Am I too old to start learning ballroom & latin professionally?

can start @ age, , compete in age categories going senior ii 70+.
if want enter competitions "soon", need committed , dedicated dancing.

i'm not competitor beginner, took 4 years of group lessons twice week 2+ hours , @ least 1 or 2 3- hour social practices every month. took private 90 minute lessons 3 times week, social dance 3-4 times month. practiced @ least 1-2 hours 5 times week, study dvida dance syllabus, take workshops, work out, etc.
you'll have commit @ least time if hope compete relatively (and don't compete)

competitions, you'll need work out, study videos, attend competitions spectator, , take lessons qualified train pro-am competitions (amateur students partner professional). gets expensive prepared invest @ least $100 hour.

suggest feel ballroom , latin taking group lessons learn basics first.

said, can spend 5-10 years learning , enjoying ballroom , compete @ later time if feel it. or invest 3-5 years becoming qualified instructor.

im 28 , complete beginner when comes ballroom , latin, have done jazzballet etc before. should have started when 5? :p late? how have train compete?
