Gaming PCs: Laptop vs. Desktop?

i'll going college here pretty , planning on getting high end gaming computer , have desktop. know desktops better gaming, con have buy seperate keyboards , monitors , such , pain lug around although if desktop, keep in dorm obviously. $1500+ gaming laptop , play crap out of , running high-end games on ultra settings max resolution (and have laptop cooling pad ) , play new games every day. wear out after while , burn processors easier desktop would? price isn't problem me , know pc need know overall better, desktop or laptop. :p thanks
