Will whammy bar have a negative impact on my fender strat?

not have experience playing stratocaster. of course not have negative impact on strat.

fender uses 2 types of tremolo bridges. 6 screw mount model , 2 point model. on 2 point model, bridge rests on pair of pivots. pivots threaded , screw anchors placed in body. next impossble pull anchors out when trying so. 6 screw model floats , 4 inner screws not screwed down way. outer 2 screws pivot. theoretically possible pull mounting screws out, strip wood , bridge not raise (it lowers). design on fender strat, can pull tremolo 1/2 step pitch-wise. there no way "pop up" bridge.

1 thing need learn how adjust tremolo floats level. allows return in-tune position after use. strings pull on tremolo bridge. counter balance pull of strings, there springs pull in opposite direction. need keep tension of springs equal tension of strings. time change string tension (change pitch of tuning or change size of strings) need adjust spring tension. tightening or loosening 2 claw screws. simple process. if bridge tilts forward (back edge pulls away body) need more tension on springs. tighten claw screws. if bridge tilts (back edge down tight against body), meed less tension on springs. loosen claw screws.

how has whammy treated bridge? have played fender stratocasters off , on over 50 years without issues.

okay use often? these days play surf. use tremolo bridgw quite bit. if listen surf know how tremolo used that.

few other points need know.

don't try force arm more 1/2 step pitch-wise. fender tremolo desgined do. designed differently floyd rose. floyd can raise pitch lot more fender bridge can.

not on tighten arm. screw in until snug , off turn. on tighten arm, may strip threads in block.

use correct arm. there several different diameter , different thread patterns tremolo arms. these not 1 size fits all. use proper arm. try use wrong one, , can strip threads on arm or block.

tremolo arm intended hang loose. hangs down out of way when not in use. don't tor force stay in place threading in tighter. if have american made stratocaster, fender makes tremolo arm tension spring can get. insert small spring in block , thread arm in. spring holds arm leave it. spring not fit fender blocks, mexican , japanese made strats. use plumbers tape. silicon wrap. put small wrap on threads of arm. thread in. tape hold arm leave it. need replace tape. not damage bridge. 1 roll of tape last lifetime if have many strats.

if use whammy bar often, tremolo bridge start pop bit making strings farther fretboard...or something?
