I have a 351w that is eating the gear on distributor?

how old engine? have roller cam? has the engine been rebuilt or distributor changed?

roller cam need different dist. drive gear flat tappet cam if engine has been rebuilt block might have been machined level decks or if wasn't rebuilt it's possible wrong distributor installed @ point. it's possible dist. shaft and/or bushings or cam thrust button if there 1 worn cause parts move around cam , distributor gears don't mesh cause rapid wear.

it goes 1000 ml., has ground dn far slips cam moving , forth or what?
