Is Grand Central Station Open On New Years Eve?

first, name right in story. there 2 grand central stations in new york. 1 subway station, open night, every night, , other post office, not stay open night. however, guessing meant railroad station, grand central terminal, not grand central station.

grand central terminal never closes. more specifically, platforms on upper level never close. lower level not used @ nights or on weekends , holidays; used during peak hours. rest of time, trains use upper level.

on new year's eve night, several unusual things happens:

1. there trains shortly after midnight went times square , needs home.

2. years, there "first night" celebration various events going on.

3. because of riders making one-time trips, there lot more chaos , confusion how buy tickets on normal day, when riders commuters take train every day , know how everything.
