Is Alto Palo the richest place in California?

palo alto home stanford university (conservative, private, expensive) , has large contingent of local sports stars. such, upscale. isn't wealthiest community in san francisco bay area. following suburbs rich, if not more so:

- atherton
- hillsborough
- tiburon
- belvedere
- ross
- danville
- moraga
- lafayette
- orinda
- saratoga
- los altos

* wealth statistics favor small, homogenous little towns. there neighborhoods in large cities, particularly san francisco (pacific heights, sea cliff, st. francis wood) , san jose, extremely wealthy. however, large numbers of low income residents tend shift overall average downward.
