Is christmas just another day in Israel or is it a holiday?

yes.

far majority of people aren't christian, there no special considerations holiday there in countries christian majority. meaning, banks , schools still open. shouldn't able tell christmas day christmas eve day after in israel.

however, it's more complicated that.

starters, christians day off. israelis aren't ignorant not know christmas is, starters, christians can have holiday.

in addition, holy land, work in tourism, aware of christmas is, , work harder during season. them, it's opposite of holiday, i'm sure bonuses @ end since huge them. in addition, places jerusalem have santas walking around, , can see various decorations holiday.

1 last thing: there enough celebrate on january 7th, per greek orthodox tradition, rather december 25th, it's not simple designate 1 correct.

israelis not of christian faith don't celebrate christmas, take part of fringe festivities such gingerbread snacks or go on vacation nation in mode celebrate christmas , participate in festivities.
