I've just been offered a good position in New York but....?

i've been there 6 months , didn't feel safe there. it's in manhattan , salary not enough me live in city. live in suburbs, i've heard people around world, new york's crime rate higher in london. i'll living there myself, if raped me, assaulted me, i'll away parents, no 1 call help. plus, don't idea of having pay hospital fees, health insurance etc.

again, me career ladder @ least year , move london if wanted to, endure paying health insurance , feeling unsafe in foreign country away family scares me.
