yes, new strings of course, know that. other that, check on , see. might need cleaning unless it's been in case.

p.s. frets undoubtedly tarnished now, whether in case or not. time clean them 0000 gauge steel wool or proprietary fret-cleaning system while have strings off. mask board masking tape if it's finished maple, otherwise work grain. make sure no steel wool dust can contact pickups (mask them off well, or use 1 of nonmetallic eraser-type cleaning thingies). if have unfinished rosewood fretboard use couple drops of lemon oil rubbed in, or proprietary fretboard treatment.

i getting old fender mexico. been laying there 3 years( hope) need new strings or need few more things
