Are blu-ray movies worth the money? Or should I stick to downloads?

i've been purchasing media digitally (games, movies, music), exceptions if cannot digitally in case buy dvd's. i'm wondering if should consider buying blu-ray movies, since i'm getting ps3 , discs barely scratches on them. question is, worth it? or should stick buying movies , tv shows on itunes?
