What is a good Open-world game for the PC?

have far cry 3 (fabulous open-world game)
have cause 2
have tried arma ii dayz mod
have tried minecraft (and mods yes)
have tried (assassins creed iii)
have tried many other games can't grasp out of memory now...

zombie survival and/or open-world game, singplayer or split screen, first person or not first person, i'm afraid dayz didn't work out me, cracked , terrible since couldn't join many servers.
