What holiday destination in Europe?

ok me , family going on holiday/vacation next august. that's me, mum, dad, , 2 siblings (us kids between 14 & 17). we're looking somewhere nice lots of fun activities hole family , sandy beaches (my bro doesn't want go anywhere stony beaches ;)). , mum prefers islands. can recommend anywhere nice? , nothing takes more 4 hours heathrow airport (i hate flying!) thank you! :) x
