What bars do you suggest in Seattle?

depends on scene. south end of broadway on capitol hill, along pike loaded hipster dives (comet, unicorn, cha cha, whatever used nuemos now). belltown has more trendy swank joints.

belltown (just northwest of downtown between vine north, pine south):
1st ave = trendy, upper scale bars. change names , owners forget names. stroll down 1st ave through belltown , you'll know i'm talkin about.

2nd ave = hipster dives: lava lounge, shorty's, tula's,

3rd avenue = vagrants, gang bangers, drug dealers

4th avenue: not @ except spitfire on 4th between bell & blanchard, kind of artsy sports bar (no, really). have great food, particularly cuban sandwiches.

pioneer square:

along 1st through pioneer square, there's old mainstays: fados (irish joint), doc maynards, merchant's cafe (a block off 1st on yesler), central, j&m. in post alley there's place called owl & thistle (another irish joint). new bars popping though too.

i'm heading group of 6-8 mid 20s people 1 night in seattle.. wondering out of towners night out. we're party atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks.. no night clubs though. thanks!
