Fly rod for TINY trout streams?

roll casting answer dense cover, can challenge longer rod. small, densely forested streams near me, use 6 foot, 3 weight rod. st. croix makes wonderful offering in avid series won't break bank. perfect shorter casts, , have found that, practice, can cast couple feet above water avoid overhanging branches. sure, false cast, don't "line" fish, spooking them false cast. avoid false casting several feet right or left of area intend fish.

the river maybe 10 feet @ it's widest. have never fished there don't imagine using 8 footer in there. rod length/weight such small stream?
