Do people who go out to eat think there server makes at least minimum wage plus tips?

minimum wage laws differ state state. while many states, in fact, allow servers paid below minimum wage there @ least half dozen states require servers paid @ least minimum wage regardless of tips. $2.13 wage lowest of states, there quite number pay above amount yet still below minimum. practice legal because irs got involved , demands servers income tax based on estimated income including tips, estimate irs determines not server. real problem, not fact many people ignorant of wage laws.

but, folks should take time find out minimum wage laws in state, , take information consideration when dine out.

people still tip 10% ignorant people. right? should restaurants put signs stating servers make $2.13/hr.
