false. can name 7 people off top of head (more if think harder it) visual arts majors , have reasonably paying jobs right now. 1 of them works concept designer, other has job movie graphics, 1 teacher, 1 gets revenue online comic , free-lance stuff , etc. etc.

if you're talking general art majors (which includes music, drama, literature etc.) makes numbers grow exponentially. really, there's lot can art major if have talent, work hard, , adaptable. might harder find job, if want will. , you'll doing love, best reward.

if love art , thinking of going it, go it. i'm taking biochem now, , hating every moment...i'm trying switch now, hassle both school things , parents. don't want yourself.
