depends entirely on type of environment (soil/rainfall/geology/temperature/diurn... , seasonal variation etc) , plant types used in reforestation. first need create ecosystem based on quick growing plants such grasses/shrubs attract fauna , microflora environment. enable range of factors such ongoing organic matter, increased soil structure , colloidal material binds soil together. tree types ued in reforestation need selected, planted, maintained , monitored period of time enable created forest become established.
