Why is The Hobbit receiving such lack luster reviews?
- see overlong, overbearing, , not inventive. film welcome ignore critics @ times.
peter travers of rolling stone: "part 1 of director peter jackson's planned film trilogy of j.r.r. tolkien's hobbit forces audiences run obstacle course before fun kicks in."
mick lasalle of san francisco chronicle: "if loved earlier films, these moments hold on to, they're few, , they're not enough."
joe morgenstern of wall street journal :"an overlong adventure enlivened wonders."
a.o. scott of new york times: "tolkien's inventive, episodic tale of modest homebody on dangerous journey has been turned overscale , plodding spectacle."
i loved first film. people comparing lotr series without understanding hobbit book different lotr books. essence of children's fantasy novel while lotr epic high fantasy novel. it's hard compare 2 in sense.
