What is thanks giving ? Who thanks whom ? What for ?Why only Turkey is killed not other bird or animal ?

started day give have. give whatever higher power believe in , else feel thanking (but definately not works you, not them). turkey eaten ham eaten lot too, @ least around here. not know why turkey, maybe because turkey meat cheep , there lot of on turkey can feed big family.
after feast there lot of greedy shopping , workers being treated slaves keep demand. thats thanksgiving now. sort of sad
