Does anyone understand the trademark application process? what do they mean per class?

trademarks valid specific group of goods. example: both mcdonalds restaurants , mcdonalds air conditioning repair trademarks because different types of businesses.

area of industry want protect trademark in. need make sure include want protect not overstep bounds.

example: when working on getting company's trademark, against company wanted same name in same industry. i'm own clothing line. attorney said if granted trademark, can voided if have included categories don't sell (even it's don't sell either). in specific situation, wanted protect "women's belts" weren't selling , "go after" if needed. ultimately, got trademark , didn't bother, understand concept.

im trying trademark business name , application says per class..its lot of different categories paints, clothings, guns , etc
