Landline troubleshoot?

weve had problem or while now. live on top floor in loft conversion , ive got last phone outlet of daisy chain here. when ever plug sky box phone lines around house stop working (no dial tone) not phones, not sky box changed both of them, ive read may last s/o on daisy chain not getting nid. dont understand how internet stays on still. appreciated thanks.
