Why are so many Canadians so opposed to immigration? (explanation included)?

again, if don't know me questions.. im american teenage guy has wanted live in canada.

whenever talk friends of mine canadian, or talk people in canada intend do, make seem awful thing. "you need learn happy from!!!", that's 1 line fed often, along with, "canada doesn't want you".

honest. don't understand. many summers in british columbia, obvious there quite few "immigrants" canada seem abusing system. instance, in grocery store summer or 2 ago uncle in vancouver, , 2 family's hailed south asian countries paying food government issued payment systems.

don't mean offend.. immigrants canada extremely hard working , successful. however, clear there chuck of immigrants in system indeed leeching (research canadian immigration statistics has proved point well). true question is... why can not move canada? speak english, not need government aid in future.. why taboo me thing have ever wanted do?
